Terms of Service

1. General provisions

These Terms of Service set out the rules for using Ogarniacz, a family organizer available as a web app. A mobile version may be made available for testing or through future distribution channels.

Using the App means accepting these Terms. Personal data processing is described in the separate Privacy Policy.

To use the web version, you need an internet-connected device with an up-to-date browser and an active email account. If a mobile version is made available, it may require iOS or Android and may be subject to separate terms of the relevant app store.

2. Scope of the service

The App enables, in particular: a family calendar and one-off and recurring events; export of selected events to .ics and an optional, revocable, read-only calendar subscription link; management of child and adult family member profiles; sharing family data by invitation; checklists and reminders; notes with custom labels; checkable shopping lists; simple charges and an indicative end-of-month household budget based on manually entered bank and credit-card balances, income and a monthly plan per caregiver; optional reminders outside the app (email digest, web push and badge, when enabled by the user); trip planning with packing suggestions, an optional sample itinerary and weather forecast or estimate; a shared trip-cost register with totals by category and currency; and event or trip-cost import from screenshots, photos, PDF/TXT files and voice recordings using artificial intelligence models.

The service is currently provided free of charge. The Service Provider may introduce paid plans or features in the future. In that case, these Terms will be updated in advance, and use of paid features will require separate, explicit acceptance of the new terms.

3. User account

Using the App's features requires an account created with an email address and password. The user is responsible for keeping their password and login details confidential and for actions performed through their account.

One account may belong to only one family at a time. Family sharing with other caregivers takes place through the invitation feature described in the App.

The user may delete their account in the Profile settings. The Privacy Policy describes the effects of account deletion on family data.

The Service Provider may suspend or delete an account if these Terms are breached, in particular through the actions described in section 4.

4. Rules for using the App

The App is intended for adults (caregivers) managing their family's data. Children do not create their own accounts.

In particular, users must not enter third-party data without an appropriate legal basis or authority to process it; use the App to submit unlawful content; take actions that may disrupt the App or the Service Provider's infrastructure; or share login details with unauthorized people.

The calendar subscription link works without sign-in because external calendars retrieve its feed automatically. The user should treat the link as a confidential secret. Any person or service with the link can read events in the feed. The link can be revoked in the App; synchronization works only from Ogarniacz to the external calendar.

The household budget feature in Charges is an indicative monthly cash-flow overview based on data entered manually by users and recorded charges. It is not a financial service, financial advice, accounting or a guarantee of the actual bank-account balance.

AI import and analysis features have daily usage limits described in the App. Limits may change to control costs and prevent misuse.

5. Features supported by artificial intelligence

Import, packing suggestions, sample trip itineraries and weather estimates use external artificial intelligence models. OpenAI LLC is currently the main AI provider in production. Weather forecasts for trips starting in the next few days come from MET Norway (with OpenStreetMap/Nominatim geocoding), not an AI model. The Service Provider may change AI model providers to another provider with a comparable level of security; processing and retention details are described in the Privacy Policy.

AI analysis results may be inaccurate or incomplete. The App always presents results for review and approval before saving; no event recognized by AI is saved automatically without your action. The user is solely responsible for checking dates, times and content before saving an event, especially when it concerns an important deadline.

The Service Provider does not guarantee that AI will recognize every event in submitted material or that recognized data will be error-free.

Using AI features requires sending content to an external AI provider. Ogarniacz does not save submitted photos, documents or recordings as import history, but the AI provider may process data under its own security and retention rules described in the Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy will reflect an AI provider change if it affects data scope, purposes, retention, transfers outside the EEA or the rules for using AI features; these Terms will also be updated if necessary.

6. Service availability

The Service Provider makes reasonable efforts to keep the App available, but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Planned maintenance and interruptions caused by infrastructure subcontractors, including email and browser or operating-system push providers, may occur.

The Service Provider may temporarily suspend the App or restrict access to selected features for maintenance or updates.

7. Complaints

Complaints about the App can be sent to [email protected]. Please include a description of the issue and, if possible, the email address used to sign in.

The Service Provider will review and respond to a complaint no later than 30 days after it is submitted.

8. Liability

The App is provided as a free version 1.0. The Service Provider makes reasonable efforts to ensure it works correctly but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service.

The Service Provider is not liable for damage resulting from: improper use of AI-recognized data without first checking it; App outages caused by circumstances beyond the Service Provider's control; or data loss caused by circumstances for which the Service Provider is not responsible.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits consumer rights under applicable mandatory law, including liability for damage caused intentionally.

9. Intellectual property

The code, appearance, interface layout, original content and graphic elements of the App prepared by the Service Provider are owned by or licensed to the Service Provider and protected by copyright law. The name “Ogarniacz” identifies this App; these Terms do not claim that “ogarniacz” is a registered trademark or that exclusive rights to the word itself are held.

Content entered by the user (for example event descriptions and children's names) remains the user's property. The Service Provider processes it only to provide the Service, in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to these Terms

The Service Provider may change these Terms, in particular if the scope of the App changes, paid plans are introduced or the law changes.

Users will be informed in the App about changes sufficiently in advance of their effective date.

11. Final provisions

These Terms are governed by Polish law. Matters not covered by these Terms are subject to generally applicable Polish law, including the Civil Code and the Act on the Provision of Services by Electronic Means.
